Highest temperature in Austin on June 14?
What you need to know
This market is asking: how hot will Austin, Texas get on June 14, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know which temperature range — like 88–89°F or 90–91°F — will contain the single highest temperature reading of the day at Austin's main airport. Think of it as a contest over what the thermometer peaks at during the hottest moment of that day, measured in whole-number Fahrenheit degrees. The current market puts 90–91°F as the most likely answer at 31%, followed by 88–89°F at 24%, then 92–93°F at 18%. The market settles based on the highest temperature recorded at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (station code KAUS) on June 14, 2026, as reported by Weather Underground. Whatever the peak reading is that day — say, 91°F — the range containing it wins. Readings are rounded to the nearest whole degree. The result is locked in once the first temperature datapoint from June 15 appears on Weather Underground; any corrections published after that cutoff are ignored. There's no ambiguity about who decides — it's purely the automated weather station data on that one website. None of the provided news headlines relate to Austin weather or climate conditions heading into June 14. There's no relevant recent news to point to here. The kind of update that would matter is a forecast for Austin from a few days before June 14 — something like a National Weather Service outlook showing an unusual heat dome or a cooler front moving through central Texas. Weather is genuinely hard to pin down even a day in advance, let alone further out. Mid-June in Austin is reliably hot, but the exact peak on any single day swings based on cloud cover, wind direction, humidity, and whether a weather system passes through. The market spreads its probability across several ranges rather than concentrating on one — 90–91°F leads, but 88–89°F and 92–93°F together account for more of the probability. That spread honestly reflects how much natural daily variation exists, even in a predictably warm season.
