What you need to know

This market is asking: on June 12, 2026, what will the hottest moment of the day be in Beijing — specifically at Beijing Capital International Airport — measured in whole degrees Celsius? Each answer option is a single temperature, like 33°C or 34°C (roughly 91–95°F). You're not picking a range or a trend — just one number: the peak temperature recorded that day. The market currently puts 34°C as the most likely outcome at 37%, followed closely by 33°C at 30%, then 35°C at 15%. The market settles — meaning gets a final Yes or No answer — based on the single highest temperature logged at Beijing Capital International Airport (station code ZBAA) on June 12, 2026, as reported by Weather Underground. The temperature is rounded to the nearest whole degree Celsius, so a reading of 33.7°C would count as 34°C. The result is locked in once the first data point for June 13 appears on that site. Any corrections made before that cutoff count; any made after do not. No relevant recent news was provided for this market. The kind of development that would matter here is a seasonal weather forecast for Beijing in early-to-mid June 2026 — for example, whether a heat wave or unusually cool pattern is expected around that date. Historical climate data for Beijing in June is the main background context available right now. Weather is genuinely hard to predict more than a few days out, and this market closes over a year from now. June in Beijing can swing meaningfully — some years see early heat waves pushing past 35°C, others stay mild. The options are clustered tightly: 33°C, 34°C, and 35°C are all within normal range and separated by just one degree, so even a small shift in conditions tips the result. There's also no options shown for outcomes below 33°C or above 35°C, which means unusual days — hotter or cooler than expected — could complicate things further.
