Highest temperature in Beijing on June 13?
What you need to know
This market is asking: how hot will Beijing get on June 13, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know the single highest temperature recorded that day at Beijing's main international airport — and whether that peak lands at 27°C or below, exactly 28°C, or exactly 29°C. In everyday terms, 27°C feels like a warm late-spring day (about 81°F), while 29°C is noticeably hotter, closer to a humid summer afternoon around 84°F. After June 13, 2026 ends, whoever runs this market checks the Weather Underground website for the Beijing Capital International Airport station and reads the highest temperature logged that day, rounded to the nearest whole degree Celsius. Whatever bucket that number falls into — 27°C or below, 28°C, or 29°C — wins. One important detail: the reading is locked in once the first data point for June 14 appears on that site. Any corrections made after that cutoff are ignored. None of the recent news provided relates to Beijing weather or temperature forecasts. No relevant updates were available at the time this was written. The thing most worth watching as June 13 approaches would be short-range weather forecasts for Beijing, particularly any meteorological alerts about early summer heat waves or unusual cold fronts moving through northern China. Early-to-mid June in Beijing is genuinely variable — the city sits in a transition zone between spring and summer, and a single passing weather system can shift the daily high by several degrees. The market currently prices a 73% chance the peak stays at 27°C or below, suggesting participants lean cooler, but weather forecasting beyond a day or two carries real uncertainty. The margin between outcome buckets here is just one degree, so even a small shift in conditions could change the result entirely.
