Highest temperature in Los Angeles on June 14?

What you need to know

This market is simply asking: how hot will it get in Los Angeles on June 14, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know the single highest temperature of the day at LAX airport, then match it to a range — like a bracket. A 'Yes' on the 72–73°F range means the day's peak temperature lands somewhere in those two degrees, not higher or lower. It's less about a yes/no outcome and more like a multiple-choice question about the weather on one specific day. At the end of June 14, 2026, whoever runs this market checks the Weather Underground website for the LAX airport station and reads off the highest temperature recorded that day, in whole-number Fahrenheit. Whichever bracket that number falls into — 70–71°F, 72–73°F, or 74–75°F — wins. The check happens after the first data point for June 15 appears on that site, locking in the final reading. Any small corrections made before that cutoff count; corrections after do not. None of the provided news headlines are relevant to this market. They cover Singaporean food products and a California bond ETF — neither touches weather in Los Angeles. To follow what actually matters here, you'd want to watch National Weather Service forecasts for the LAX area as June 14, 2026 approaches, along with any early seasonal heat or marine-layer patterns. Weather is genuinely hard to predict more than a few days out, and June in Los Angeles adds a specific wrinkle: the marine layer. A June marine layer — locals call it 'June Gloom' — can keep LAX noticeably cooler than inland areas, sometimes by 10°F or more. Whether that effect is strong or weak on any given day is difficult to know in advance. The three ranges in this market are all fairly close together, meaning a small swing in conditions easily shifts the outcome between brackets.
