Highest temperature in Madrid on June 13?
What you need to know
This market is asking: what will the hottest temperature of the day be in Madrid on June 13, 2026? Specifically, it wants to know which temperature bucket — 33°C, 34°C, or 35°C — the peak reading will fall into. In practical terms, 34°C is roughly 93°F, and 35°C is about 95°F, so we're talking about a hot early-summer afternoon in the Spanish capital. The market currently puts 34°C as the most likely outcome, with 35°C as the second choice. The market settles based on the single highest temperature recorded on June 13, 2026, at Madrid's Barajas Airport weather station — measured in whole degrees Celsius, with no decimal rounding. The data source is Weather Underground's historical log for that station. Whichever temperature bucket contains that peak reading wins. One important detail: the market waits until the first data point from June 14 appears before it officially closes, so late temperature revisions recorded during June 13 can still be considered up until that moment. The only recent headline provided — about a university partnership involving Qatar Foundation and HBCUs — has no connection to Madrid's weather. There is no relevant recent news to point to here. What would actually matter to watch is any meteorological forecast for central Spain in the days leading up to June 13, particularly whether a heat dome or Atlantic front is expected to pass through the Iberian Peninsula around that date. Weather is genuinely hard to predict more than a few days out, and a single-day high temperature is sensitive to small shifts — a passing cloud, a breeze, or a slightly different air mass can push a reading one degree in either direction. The gap between 34°C and 35°C is just one degree, which is well within normal forecast error even 24 hours ahead. Historical climate data for mid-June in Madrid gives a baseline, but any given year can run hotter or cooler than average, making this a legitimately close call.
