Stanley Cup Finals: Total Points Leader

100%sportsUpdated 14 min ago

What you need to know

This market is asking: when the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals is over, which player will have scored the most total points — goals plus assists combined — across all the games played? A point in hockey is earned either by scoring a goal or by passing the puck to a teammate who scores. The player who racks up the highest point total across the whole Finals series wins this market. Right now, the market is almost entirely focused on Nikolaj Ehlers. After the last game of the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals, the official NHL statistics determine who led in total points. If two players tie on points, goals scored breaks the tie. If still tied, whoever had the best single-game point total wins. If that is still equal, alphabetical order by last name decides it — a rare but real tiebreaker. The Finals must conclude before July 1, 2026; if it is cancelled or delayed past that date, the market settles as 'Other' instead of any named player. None of the provided news headlines relate to the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals or hockey in any way — they cover politics, oil prices, and technology. There is no relevant recent news to draw on here. The kind of updates that would matter are game results, player injury reports, and scoring statistics from the ongoing Finals series. The odds here are strikingly lopsided — the market prices Nikolaj Ehlers at essentially 100%. When a market sits that high, the honest question is not 'who will win' but simply 'could something unexpected happen?' In any live sports series, a player can get injured, have a cold streak, or be outscored by a teammate or opponent. The Finals had not yet concluded at the time this was written, so actual game results are the main unknown — and in hockey, point totals can shift quickly over just a few games.

How this resolves

Resolves June 18, 2026

This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals with the most total points. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more goals during the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with the most points in a single game of the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NHL statistics for completed games. If the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals is cancelled, postponed after July 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player had the most total points within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
