World Cup Group B Winner

What you need to know

This market is asking which team will finish first in Group B when the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage ends. Every group has three games per team, and the team with the best record at the end comes out on top. A win for Switzerland means they finish with the most points in Group B; a win for Canada or Bosnia and Herzegovina means one of those teams outperforms the others across three matches and claims the top spot. The market settles on whichever team officially finishes first in Group B by June 27, 2026, according to FIFA's final standings. If two teams are tied on points, FIFA's own tiebreak rules decide it — things like goal difference and goals scored. The result comes from FIFA's official records. One edge case worth knowing: if the group stage is cancelled or has no declared winner by September 30, 2026, the market resolves as 'Other' rather than any of the three teams listed. None of the recent news provided is relevant to this market. The headlines cover defence technology, geopolitical tensions, and public health — nothing about the 2026 World Cup or Group B. What would actually matter to watch for: injury news for key players, any late squad announcements, or group-stage match results once games begin on June 11. The group stage runs through late June, so early results will shift things quickly. Switzerland enters as the market's favourite at 56%, but football group stages are famously unpredictable — a single upset result can flip standings entirely. Canada is a host nation with strong motivation, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, though priced lowest, only needs a couple of results to go their way. Form on the day, referee decisions, and player fitness can all override pre-tournament expectations in a short three-game window.

How this resolves

Resolves June 27, 2026

This market will resolve according to the team that wins Group B in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026. If multiple teams tie as group winners, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
