World Cup: Group C Second Place
What you need to know
This market asks which team will finish second in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — not who wins the group, just who comes in second place. Second place still advances to the knockout round, so this matters. The three teams competing in Group C are Morocco, Brazil, and Scotland. A 'Yes' for one team means they finish exactly second; a 'No' means one of the other two finishes there instead. The market settles based on the official Group C standings after all group-stage matches end, which are scheduled for June 11–27, 2026. FIFA's official standings decide the result. If teams are level on points, FIFA's tiebreaker rules apply — things like goal difference and head-to-head record. There is one edge case worth knowing: if for any reason no second-place team is officially declared before July 12, 2026, the market resolves as 'Other' rather than any of the three teams listed. No relevant news about the World Cup or Group C was provided. The only recent headlines are about an unrelated event — a fighter jet crash in Washington State. The things worth watching for are actual group-stage match results, injury news for key players, and any official FIFA group-stage updates as matches are played between June 11 and June 27. Three strong but very different teams make this genuinely hard to call. Brazil is one of football's all-time powers but has had inconsistent recent World Cup performances. Morocco surprised the world by reaching the semifinals in 2022. Scotland are the underdogs but capable of a result on any given day. Group dynamics add complexity: teams don't just play for wins, they play relative to each other. A single draw or upset can reshuffle the standings entirely, which is why all three teams still hold meaningful odds.

How this resolves
Resolves July 12, 2026
This market will resolve according to the team that finishes second in Group C in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026. If multiple teams tie for second place, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no second-place team declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
