Resolution Criteria

As of market creation, Autodesk is estimated to release earnings on May 28, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Autodesk’s non-GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $2.84 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Autodesk reports non-GAAP EPS greater than $2.84 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the non-GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Autodesk releases earnings without non-GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the non-GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents; or, if not published there, according to the GAAP EPS provided by SeekingAlpha. If no GAAP EPS number is available from either source at that time, the market will resolve to “No.” (For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless it is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS.) If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced non-GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets are derived from SeekingAlpha estimates, and reflect the consensus of sell-side analyst estimates for non-GAAP EPS. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: If multiple versions of non-GAAP EPS are published, the market will resolve according to the primary headline non-GAAP EPS number, which is typically presented on a diluted basis. If diluted is not published, then basic non-GAAP EPS will qualify. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Market structure

This is a two-outcome market — 'Yes' or 'No' — with volume heavily concentrated on a 'Yes' result. Resolution depends on Autodesk reporting non-GAAP EPS strictly above $2.84 in its next quarterly earnings release. The primary resolution source is Autodesk's official earnings documents, with SeekingAlpha and GAAP EPS serving as fallback sources. The resolution deadline is 28 May 2026 at 21:00 UTC.

Background

Autodesk is a leading provider of design and engineering software, best known for products including AutoCAD, Revit, and Fusion 360, serving industries from architecture to manufacturing. The company transitioned to a subscription-based model over the past decade, a shift that reshaped its revenue profile and earnings trajectory. Autodesk has a history of navigating analyst estimate revisions closely, and its earnings releases are closely watched by institutional investors tracking software sector performance. The consensus EPS estimate of $2.84 reflects sell-side analyst expectations aggregated via SeekingAlpha as of market creation. Earnings beats are common across the software sector, but margin pressures, macroeconomic headwinds affecting enterprise spending, and currency fluctuations can all introduce variability in any given quarter.

Key factors

Several structural factors bear on whether Autodesk will surpass the $2.84 non-GAAP EPS threshold. Subscription renewal rates and the pace of new seat additions directly affect revenue, which feeds into earnings. Enterprise software spending sentiment — influenced by broader macroeconomic conditions and capital expenditure cycles in construction, manufacturing, and media — shapes demand for Autodesk's core products. Foreign exchange movements matter given Autodesk's significant international revenue base, as currency headwinds or tailwinds can shift reported figures meaningfully. Cost discipline, particularly in research and development and sales and marketing, influences non-GAAP margins. Analyst estimate revisions between market creation and the earnings date could alter the consensus benchmark, though the market is fixed at $2.84. The timing of the earnings release itself is a contingency: if Autodesk delays beyond 45 calendar days from 28 May 2026, the market resolves 'No' by default regardless of financial performance.

FAQ

How is the Autodesk quarterly earnings beat market resolved?

The market resolves 'Yes' if Autodesk reports non-GAAP EPS strictly above $2.84 in its official earnings documents. If no non-GAAP figure is published, SeekingAlpha's reported figure is used, followed by diluted GAAP EPS, then basic GAAP EPS as further fallbacks. If none are available, the market resolves 'No'.

When does the Autodesk earnings beat market resolve?

The resolution deadline is 28 May 2026 at 21:00 UTC, aligned with Autodesk's estimated earnings release date. If Autodesk does not publish earnings within 45 calendar days of that estimated date, the market resolves 'No' by default.

What happens if Autodesk delays or restates its earnings?

If Autodesk does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of 28 May 2026, the market resolves 'No'. Post-release restatements or corrections are not considered for resolution, except in cases of obvious immediate errors such as a typographical mistake in the original release.

What does the Autodesk earnings market currently show?

Volume in this market is heavily concentrated on a 'Yes' outcome — that Autodesk will beat the $2.84 non-GAAP EPS consensus. The 'No' outcome, indicating a miss or in-line result, commands a small fraction of market activity.
