Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve according to the winner of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2026 season playoffs. If the 2026 LCK season is postponed after December 31, 2026 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a winner has not been declared in this timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. If multiple teams are declared winner, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed team name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Riot Games (https://lolesports.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Gen.G Esports are the heaviest-backed team to win the LCK 2026 season in current prediction market trading, with Hanwha Life Esports and T1 also drawing substantial volume. The market spans the full LCK franchise roster across both Spring and Summer splits, resolving on the official playoff winner declared by Riot Games before the end of 2026.

Market structure

The market covers 37 possible outcomes across all LCK franchised organisations, plus an 'Other' fallback. Volume is heavily concentrated on a small cluster of contenders, with Gen.G Esports the heaviest-backed, followed by Hanwha Life Esports and T1. The remaining outcomes are broadly distributed at low volume. Resolution is drawn from official Riot Games data at lolesports.com, with a deadline of 31 December 2026.

Background

The LCK is South Korea's top-tier League of Legends competition and consistently produces teams that dominate international events including the World Championship. The league operates across two splits — Spring and Summer — with seasonal playoffs determining the champion. Gen.G Esports won the 2024 World Championship and have been among the most consistent performers in recent LCK history. T1, home to five-time world champion Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok, and Hanwha Life Esports have also been competitive forces. Korean teams collectively hold the majority of World Championship titles, making the LCK the most watched and analysed regional league in global esports. The 2026 season continues under the Riot Games franchise model introduced in 2021.

Key factors

The LCK 2026 season result depends on roster construction decisions made during the off-season transfer window, including the acquisition or retention of marquee players. Coaching staff changes and the introduction of new talent from the Challengers Korea (CK) academy league can shift team trajectories mid-season. Internal team form across the Spring split will influence seeding and bracket positioning heading into Summer playoffs. Patch-level changes to League of Legends — which Riot Games deploys throughout the year — can alter which playstyles are favoured competitively, potentially disrupting teams built around specific strategic identities. Player health, burnout, and military service obligations are additional variables in the Korean scene that can affect roster availability. The alphabetical tiebreaker clause means that in the unlikely event of a shared championship declaration, outcome resolution would not necessarily reflect on-stage performance.

FAQ

How is the LCK 2026 Season Winner market resolved?

The market resolves to whichever organisation is officially declared the LCK 2026 playoff champion. The primary resolution source is Riot Games via lolesports.com. A consensus of credible esports reporting may be used as a supplementary source if official confirmation is delayed.

When does the LCK 2026 Season Winner market resolve?

The market must resolve by 31 December 2026. If the LCK season is postponed beyond that date, cancelled, or no winner has been declared within the timeframe, the market resolves to the 'Other' outcome rather than a named team.

What happens if the LCK 2026 season is cancelled or no winner is declared in time?

If the season is cancelled, postponed past 31 December 2026, or a winner is not officially declared before the deadline, the market resolves to 'Other'. The alphabetical tiebreaker applies only if multiple teams are simultaneously declared champion.
