Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve according to the team that finishes 1st at the 2026 Major League Pickleball St. Louis tournament scheduled for June 4, 2026 through June 7, 2026. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the competition per the rules of MLP (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLP rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Major League Pickleball St. Louis tournament is canceled or not completed by June 21, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Pickleball (https://www.majorleaguepickleball.co). A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Background

Major League Pickleball is the premier team-based professional pickleball league in the United States, founded in 2021 and expanded significantly in subsequent seasons. The league operates a franchise model with teams drafting professional players, and its events follow a structured playoff format culminating in a tournament champion. St. Louis is one of several host cities on the 2026 MLP calendar, running from 4 to 7 June. The sport has grown rapidly in mainstream visibility, drawing professional athletes from tennis and other disciplines and attracting broadcast and sponsorship interest. Individual tournament results carry both competitive and standings implications across the broader MLP season.

Key factors

Tournament format and seeding structures within MLP events influence which teams reach the later rounds, making bracket positioning a key variable. Roster composition and player form heading into the St. Louis event will affect team performance, as MLP rosters can shift between seasons and individual player health or availability introduces uncertainty. The St. Louis Shock, as a home-market team, may benefit from crowd support, though this factor's competitive weight is difficult to quantify. Weather and scheduling disruptions could affect completion within the resolution window, triggering the cancellation clause if the event is not finished by 21 June 2026. The broadly distributed market suggests no single team has established a commanding edge in trader sentiment, meaning late-breaking roster or form news could shift concentration meaningfully before play begins.
