NHL: Alex Ovechkin to Retire Before 2026-27 Season?

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Alex Ovechkin officially announces his retirement from the NHL by September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". To resolve "Yes", the announcement must clearly state that Alexander Ovechkin is retiring from the National Hockey League. The announcement must come from Alexander Ovechkin himself or his official representatives. The retirement must be intended to take effect immediately or prior to the start of the next season following the announcement. The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from Alexander Ovechkin; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
